In this months issue of Caffeine Magazine I went to Glasgow to photograph four great independent cafes, whilst Brian did the great reviewing of the cafes. If you didn’t manage to pick up an issue then here are the four great cafes you should visit if you’re in Glasgow.
93 West Nile Street, Glasgow, G1 2SH
Laboratorio Espresso brings a fresh contemporary take on an Italian espresso bar. They have also brought back to life the mocha pot by serving it as an option in the morning. Not to mention their gorgeous little Italian sweet treats you can have on the side of your coffee.
603 Great Western Rd, Glasgow, G12 8HX
Papercup serve three single-origin beans incredibly roasted in their 3kg Toper machine which sits right at the back of the cafe, so you can watch how the magic happens whilst drinking the magic!
15 Gibson St, Glasgow, G12 8NU
Artisan Roast served the beautiful double macchiato you can see above, and the flavors were dancing around in my mouth! With a cosy atmosphere, awesome coffee and locally sourced food – what more could you want!?
291 Byres Rd, Glasgow, G12 8TL
Avenue G has a great bright atmosphere with table service, good homemade food and three single-origin beans on offer.
Oh and check out Dear Green Coffee, 5 Airds Lane, Glasgow, G1 5HU http://www.deargreencoffee.com/
Now head to Glasgow and see what they’re all about!
